Chill Out! Parts & Equipment Supply Ltd is a woman owned small
business located in Chugiak, Alaska. We supply heavy
equipment repair parts, manuals, tools, environmental
preparedness products and measuring devices and rent
construction equipment. We are the Alaska dealer for IHI
Compact Excavation equipment and provide parts and technical
support for Bombardier utility tractors (Muskegs, Bombis, Snow
groomers, etc).
The company was started by Dani Woodward on March 4, 1994.
The name "Chill Out" was the name of the little cottage industry that
she started during the off season (winter) from work with a major
contractor in Anchorage. People remembered Dani as Chill Out!
When the winter season started getting longer and the construction
season shorter, Dani decided to take her 20+ years of heavy
equipment parts experience and start a business suited to the
Alaska market. The name Chill Out! came with her.
She married Marty Haviland and a few years later, He gave up his
day job as a heavy equipment mechanic and become the Pop in
the Mom and Pop company. He brought along the hands-on
engine and tractor repair and tooling knowledge.
In the fall of 2004, they added a used tool and shop equipment
store next to the parts office. A listing of many of these goodies
is on the Tools link. Consignment equipment is listed under the
Equipment link.
The environment in Alaska is beautiful. We do what we can to
help keep it that way (air quality monitoring equipment,
containment systems). We also supply goods to clean up the
mishaps and messes that always seem to occur. Oppenheimer
bioremediation products are on hand for petroleum spills on land
or water.
